Our Vision

We envision a community in which unity transcends division and where we consistently model strong mutual care and trust. MAA is dedicated to building bridges of understanding to promote solidarity among American Muslims and with fellow community members.

We celebrate diversity as a source of strength. As the most ethnically diverse faith community in the US, representing different languages, generations, educational and professional backgrounds, and more: Muslims are a force to be reckoned with when we come together around our shared faith and cultural values - including community, equality, and justice.

Being one of the most diverse communities in the country, Muslims are a powerful constituency. We need to consistently tap into that power to be taken seriously and maximize our impact as a voter block.

This starts with encouraging and supporting individual leaders in realizing their potential. Through education and leadership development, we equip American Muslims with the skills and knowledge they need to be effective and influential advocates. We aspire to see every American Muslim actively shaping society, from grassroots activism to leadership in government.

Democracy is the heart of our mission. Our vision is a world where democracy thrives as a beacon of hope and progress. We envision American Muslims as strong, influential voices in the political landscape, working towards a more just, inclusive, and democratic society.

To do so, we bring Muslims together to advocate for justice, equality, and civil rights: with a focus on ensuring every voice is heard, and all citizens have a role in shaping policies.
